Hi all. I use outlook express for my email. Lately I've been having this issue when I try to close out of an email using the escape key and the email had a link in it, the escape key activates this link. Any reason for this behavior and is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

well you could try reading your email via the message pane, instead of pressing enter on it in the list, just press tab. As to why it's doing that, I've honestly never heard of anything like it.
No, not the preview pain! this can invite viruses and that is not good. When did this behaivior start? have you done the obligatory spyware and addaware scans? Jaws has excellent scripts for addaware from jfwlite.com.
Sounds like you might have major problems with oe. Have you changed email programs lately? Have you installed or uninstalled any microsoft programs lately?
If not, you might wish to check your options to see if anything is out of the ordinary.
If I were guessing I'd guess you might be in the preview pane. If so, turn that damned thing off, as someone else said, it is a fly trap for viruses. Before you know it, you've opened an email with a virus then ... well, you know the story...

oo! I didn't realise that! the preview pane thing I mean. while I'm thinking about this, are there any other programs that will access Microsoft Exchange Servers other than outlook? I can't be bothered to put office back on. Cheers,

Not sure, but I think outlook express can work with exchange servers.
